Matthew A. Przystac

Matthew A. Przystac, age 81, of Somerset, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2013 in Charlton Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Maureen E. (Griffin) Przystac to whom he had been married for 58 years.

Mr. Przystac was born in Fall River and was a 1951 graduate of BMC Durfee High School. He worked in the garment industry in the Fall River area as a Pattern Grader, retiring from Whittenton Manufacturing in 1986.

Mr. Przystac coached the Lions team in Somerset Little league for 10 years, enjoyed boating, fishing, woodworking, playing cards and was an avid Boston sports fan. He was a member of the Somerset Pitch League, Somerset Village Seniors Club and a communicant of St. Thomas More Church since 1959.

In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons Stephen Przystac and his wife Martha of Nashua, NH, Michael Przystac of Arlington, MA and Thomas Przystac and his wife Lynn of Somerset; four grandchildren Daniel and Katharine of Nashua and Carley and Hannah of Somerset.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 9am from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT ROSE E. SULLIVAN, 866 County St., Somerset, followed by his funeral mass at 10am in St. Thomas More Church, 386 Luther Ave., Somerset. Visiting hours will be Monday (Today) May 20, 2013 from 5 to 7 pm.
