

Brian M. Costa, 67, of South Dartmouth, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 surrounded by his loving family at home. He was the husband of Susan (Fernandes) Costa, with whom he shared 35 years together.
Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Gilbert and Shirley (Figuerido) Costa, he was a lifelong resident of Dartmouth and a graduate of Dartmouth High School.
Mr. Costa had worked for the family business, Costas Quality Kitchens, for many years. He then moved on to retire from the City of New Bedford as a building inspector 10 years ago.
Brian began hunting as a child with his father. He enjoyed his regular hunting trips to Pennsylvania with his buddies. Brian was the drummer in his garage band that his family named The Old Man Band. He cherished Monday night dinners with his daughters and their families. He looked forward to the annual visit to the family cottage. He also enjoyed his many toys including his motorcycle and Ford Mustang.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four daughters, Kristi Cordeiro and her husband Bert of New Bedford, Kerri Costa and her husband David Cisternelli of Attleboro, Jillian Hachem and her husband Dany of Dartmouth and Heidi Canario and her husband Randy of Dartmouth; four grandchildren, Victoria Mello, Alexis Gordon, Nikolas and Mya Hachem; one great-grandson, Evan Mello; one brother, Gilbert Costa and his wife Patricia; two sisters, Deborah Wotton and her husband Richard and Brenda Dumont and her husband Jeff; and nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 4-7 pm in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth. Masks are required.
