Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Nicholas and Juliet (Poitras) Rose, he was a lifelong Dartmouth resident. He was a graduate of Dartmouth High School and was employed by the Kittansett Country Club for more than 40 years as a mechanic.
Carl loved his daughters and grandchildren; he enjoyed gardening, fishing, cars, hunting and woodworking. He was known to many as a great handyman who could repair anything and was always the life of the party.
He is survived by his children, Amber Dos Santos and her husband Ernesto of Dartmouth and Hallie Davis and her husband Christopher of Somerset; Five grandchildren, Maddison, Logan, Charlotte, Mason and Tucker; his siblings, Janice Correia, Linda Rose and her wife Debbie of Acushnet and Nick Rose and his wife Verna of Mashpee. He was the brother of the late Milton Rose.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00Pm with a funeral service at 5:00PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Road, Dartmouth, MA 02748.
