Born in Acushnet, she was a lifelong area resident. She was formerly employed as an accountant for the New Bedford School Department for many years and belonged to the Secular Order of Franciscan's. She was a charismatic minister, a Eucharistic minister and a member of prayer groups, leading in spiritual prayer.
She is survived by a sister, Brenda Howes and her husband David of New Bedford; nieces, Kimberly Thompson and her husband Jacob and Nicole Holmes and her husband Gabriel; great niece, Arianna Holmes and great nephew, Connor Thompson.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 10:30AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bonney Street, New Bedford, MA. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial is private.
