Born in Providence, Rhode Island, the son of Maria Augusta (Vargas) Lemos, he had resided in Dartmouth for most of his life.
James had many interests including listening to music, dancing, making puzzles and coloring, taking walks with his family and he loved balloons of all colors, shapes and sizes. He loved animals especially his Chihuahuas. James always had a smile on his face and made people smile while being in his presence. He touched so many lives and will be missed and loved forever.
Surviving in addition to his mother is his sister, Debra Lemos; his brother, Stanley P. Lemos; four nephews, Clayton Lemos-Martin, Alexander Lemos-Martin, Jordan Lemos and Logan Lemos; one niece, Sarena Lemos all of Dartmouth; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 8am from the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth followed by a funeral mass at 9am in St. Julie Billiart Church, 494 Slocum Rd., Dartmouth. Burial in St. John’s Cemetery in New Bedford.
