Linda L. Paine Pierce

Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of Rufus S. and Cynthia (Johnson) Paine of Dartmouth. She was a lifelong resident of Dartmouth.

Mrs. Pierce was a graduate of Dartmouth High School, Class of 1967 and attended the former Kenyon Campbell Business School. She worked as a payroll and benefits clerk for the Zatec Company in North Dighton, MA until her retirement in April of this year.

She enjoyed knitting, reading, bird watching and traveling especially cruising. She was and avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband and parents is a son, Martin J. Pierce and his wife Amanda of Riverside, RI; a daughter Kristin Pierce of Dartmouth, sister Alison Grinwis and her husband Robert of Kennett Square, PA; brother Erik Paine and his wife Vicki of Dartmouth; two grandchildren William Martin and Elle Margaret Pierce; uncle Warren Johnson of Gorham, NH and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alan Paine.

Her Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday from 5:00-8:00pm in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth., Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private. Contributions in her memory may be made to MPD Foundation, 180 No. Michigan Ave., Suite 1870, Chicago, IL 60601.
