A lifelong New Bedford resident, Mark worked for the City of New Bedford as a laborer. He enjoyed cooking, listening to James Brown and spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his life-long partner, Rebecca Mendes of New Bedford, two daughters, Janice Dias and Shailene Mendes both of New Bedford, a brother Bradford Cosmos of Westport and a sister Gail Gonsalves of Westport, four grandchildren, Demetrius Grieco, Kairae Colton, La’Trell Baskin and Jerrell Palmer all of New Bedford, several nieces and nephews and special cousins.
A Celebration of His Life will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. at the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Road, Dartmouth. Burial will be private. For tributes and directions www.waring-sullivan.com.
