Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Camille and Blanche (Bonneau) Leger; he was a longtime resident of Dartmouth. He was a graduate of New Bedford High School and later was a self-employed auto mechanic and dive shop owner.
He is survived by his son Maurice A. Leger of Westport; his grandson, William Leger of Westwood; a sister, Elaine Gobeille of Acushnet; and sister in-law, Nancy Costa of Fairhaven; and many nieces and nephews and friends. He was the brother of the late Robert and Raymond Leger.

Member of the Metacomet Sports Car Club of New Bedford in the early 60’s. Worked for Prat and Whitney mid 60’s. Worked for Ashley Ford on Mercedes-Benz mid 60’s. Then in 1965 started my own business then in 1966 “getting married”. He was a member and officer of the South Coast Scuba Divers in the 80’s and East Bay Aquanauts Dive club in Rhode Island. Then in 1978 had a Son Maurice A. Leger. In 2002, opened a dive shop Moe’s Divers Supply. Until his retirement, he visited many Caribbean spots for vacationing with his family. He Loved Florida and all his good friends up North as well as Down South. He will be missed in many ways.
