Robert Silva and I were friends , He was a great man , with a great sense of Humor, He will always be In my prayers, May God Bless him and receive him into his Kingdom, Prayer go out to his family.

I only knew Bob for the last few years but he always made me smile and was always ready to help solve a problem. I am so sorry to hear of his sudden passing. He was a great guy and will be missed. My prayers and condolences to the Silva family.

I was sadden to hear of the loss of a Brother.  I drilled with him at Camp Edwards, and had the chance to work on some of the ranges with him.  He was always in high spirits, even when the missions dragged on.   I pray and salute you.

My condolences to the Silva family, SFC Silva was a great NCO, ammunition handling  instructor, and just a great person. he will be missed sorely. I am very proud to have served with him.

Rob was an inspiration to all who knew him, with quick wit, much dedication and bright thoughts always for everyone.  He did an excellent job as an office at the Wareham Lodge of Elks #1548, memorizing all his parts to the tee!! I am so incredibly sorry to hear about Robbie's passing. He worked with my husband at the Buttonwood Service Station for many years when he was younger. In fact, he 1st was their newspaper delivery boy and everyone liked him so much they hired him when he was older. Robbie was so sweet and always made people laugh. The last time I saw him he was at the closing for his 2nd home. I was so proud of him. Fly with the angels, and dance among the stars, sweet boy.

Robert was a fine soldier and individaul who was a credit to this country.

Robert was one of the most outstanding, professional soldiers I had the pleasure of working with. He was full of compassion, loyal, and humble - he touched my life with his kindness. Sgt Silva was a inspiration in my military life. He taught me everything I've ever relied on during the majority of my military career. In my experience he was always a great and kind man. His family, friends, and the military has lost a great man and he will be missed

There are hardly words to express how I feel.  I am so, so sad for the entire family.  As you know, Rob and I were great friends, comrades, and confidants for the past 20 years.  I watched him evolve from a young teenager into a young man, on both the military and technician side of the Mass Guard.  We performed so many Military Funeral Honor Details together, and he helped me honor my father at an Honors ceremony in Bourne.  He was, indeed, a devoted friend to anyone in need; much like his father.  Humble, as well.

We've been through so much together.  I am heartbroken.

I have been friends with Rob since 2003 when we attended class together. I learned very quickly what a great guy and soldier he was. There was not a time that I saw him that he did not have a new joke or story to tell with a smile on his face. My deepest condolences to your family, he will be sorely missed.
