

VIOLETTE M. (LANGLOIS) CROTEAU, age 83, of Dartmouth, passed away Friday, October 11, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of Wilfred Croteau, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Loretta (Mailhotte) Langlois.
A life-long resident of the area, Mrs. Croteau was a former member of the choir at St. George Church in Westport and was an avid cook. She loved her dogs and being with her family.
Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Elaine B. Perlman and her husband Mark of Westport, Connecticut; two sons, Wilfred R. Croteau and his wife Pamela of Dartmouth and Wayne W. Croteau of East Freetown and his significant other Lee Souza of Fall River; two grandchildren, Alysha Perlman of Westport, Connecticut and Aaron Perlman of Brookline; one sister, Carol Vieira of New Bedford and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Blanche R. Lemieux and Roland R. Langlois.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 9 AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Road, Dartmouth, followed by her funeral mass at 10 AM in St. George Church, 12 Highland Ave., Westport. Visiting hours, Tuesday 4-7 PM. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Bedford. Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to, American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
