Yuk Min Leung, age 71, of Dartmouth, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. He was the devoted husband of Sara Liu Leung, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage.
Born in Taishan, Guangdong, China, he was the son of the late Hung Ging Leung and the late Nui Tai You. In 1980, he immigrated to the United States, where he built a life centered on hard work and family. He was employed as a cook for more than 30 years at several local restaurants, most recently at the former Cathay Temple in Mattapoisett.
Outside of work, Yuk Min enjoyed music and especially liked playing the erhu, a traditional Chinese string instrument, which brought him quiet enjoyment in his spare time.
In addition to his wife Sara, he is survived by his two children, Adam Leung and Paula Leung, both of Dartmouth.
His Visitation will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026 from 9 to 10am in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth, followed by his Funeral Service at 10am in the Funeral Home. Burial will take place in South Dartmouth Cemetery.
