Anne Marie Essex

Anne Marie Essex, age 65 passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025. Annie was born and raised in Worcester, MA. She began her education at the charming neighborhood grammar school, Indian Hill School, where she made lifelong friends. While always eager to learn new things, she concluded her formal education at Quinsigamond Community College where she earned an associate's degree.

After a career in retail, Annie retired to the family home in Dennisport, MA. In addition to spending time with loved ones, Annie maintained a busy life. She was a valued team member at a weekly trivia contest held at Jake Rooney's in Harwich, MA, and at the weekly canasta game at the Dennis Center for Adult Living. She was a member of the West Dennis Garden Club. She also excelled at online canasta tournaments and Wordle.

Annie was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Karen, her sister, Mary, and her brother-in-law, Richard Berberian. She is survived by her brother, Michael, her sister, Maureen, her brother-in-law, Paul DeWolfe, her nieces, Diane, Lauren and Angela, and her great nephew, Wallace, all of whom she treasured with all her heart.

Taylor, an adorable rescue dog who became part of Annie's family when Paul and Maureen retired to the Cape, owned a piece of her heart as well. A celebration of Annie's life will be held later in the summer.
