

Still, Dennis R., Sr., 74, of Yarmouthport, passed away surrounded with love by his family on February 26, 2017. He was the dear son of the late Jack McCredie and Patricia (Raymond) Still and step-son to the late Donald Still. He will be truly missed by his devoted wife of 57 years, Carole (Bomach) Still.
Dennis was born in Highland Park, MI and grew up loving the outdoor and being close to nature, he was a proud Eagle Scout and graduated from Cathedral Central High School, class of 1959. He began his career in Tool & Die, working for Chrysler for 12 years, raising a family of four children with his wife and always finding time to teach his children the necessities of life. Dennis also enjoyed 10 years as a Real Estate Broker, owning Norwood Real Estate in Detroit. As time passed, Dennis and Carole moved to Cape Cod in 1977, they were the proud owners of Cape Colony Inn in Provincetown for 18 years, in total the business was passed along in the family for over 35 years, Dennis would constantly be making friends with all who stayed, he always put others before himself, taking care of his neighbors and guests. In his retirement years, Dennis built houses, mainly in MI, NH and Cape Cod and was also a very skilled finish carpenter. Dennis was a lifelong member of Our Lady of the Cape Parish in Brewster serving as a Eucharistic Minister, attending to those in need. Many Sunday’s after church, you could find Dennis on the couch reveling in a Patriots game and cheering on the Bruins throughout their season. A Model Train enthusiast, Dennis spent his Saturday afternoons at the Nauset Model Railroad Club building and operating model railroad layouts and exchanging ideas and techniques.
Besides his loving wife, Dennis leaves behind his four children: Linda Weber, Dennis Still, Jr., Heather Cedrone, and Jack Still as well as a sister-in-law: Laurie Pope and his brother-in-law: Tom Pope. Dennis was the loving grandfather of: Melissa, Crystal, Rachael, Adam, Ethan, Connor, Savannah, Emmerson, and Mackenzie and cherished great-grandfather of Emma Jean as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Calling hours will be held from 4-7 PM on Sunday, Mar. 5, 2017 at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134, South Dennis. A Funeral Mass in Dennis’ honor will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, Mar. 6, 2017 at Our Lady of the Cape Parish, 468 Stony Brook Rd., Brewster.
