Donald R. Froude

passed away on December 13, 2013 after a long illness. He was the son

of the late Edmund and Muriel Froude born on December 8, 1931 in

Jersey City, NJ. He graduated from Lincoln High School where he was

captain of the swim team. He later graduated from the US Merchant

Marine Academy at Kings Point in the class of 1953. He was an employee

of 41 years for the Otis Elevator Company a division of United

Technology, retiring in 1996.

He was the loving father of his son Donald and daughter in-law Kim of

Dennis, MA and his daughter Melissa and his son in-law Mark Moulaison

of Boxborough, MA ; his grandchildren Cameron and Andrew Froude along

with Lesley and Kyle Moulaison.

He is also survived by his brother Edmund and sister in-law Carmen of

Wayne, NJ and sister Muriel and brother in-law Arthur Murphy of Red

Bank, NJ. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and

nephews.

He loved living on Cape Cod and cheering on his beloved Boston Red

Sox. His favorite pastimes included fishing, boating, kayaking and

bird watching.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Friends may call from 9-10:30 am on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the

Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Route 134 in South Dennis. A

Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the

Cape Church, 468 Stony Brook Road, West Brewster, MA 02631.

Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery on Route 134 in South Dennis.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made in

his memory to Dream Day on Cape Cod, 165 Nan-Ke-Rafe Path Brewster, MA

02631, dreamdayoncapecod.org.
