Born in Boston on January 5, 1937, he was the son of the late Francis and Mary O'Donnell. Edward graduated from Boston College High School and attended both Boston College and Boston State where he earned his degree. He worked at Pratt & Whitney in Hartford, CT for 25 years until retiring to South Dennis, MA.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather Crowley, of Lake in The Hills, IL; his son, Edward (Ted) O'Donnell of Madison, WI; his grandsons Brian and Mark Crowley; his brothers, Francis O'Donnell, Richard O'Donnell and Robert O'Donnell. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles O'Donnell.
Visiting hours will be held from 4-7 pm on Thursday, May 10,2012 at the Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134 in S. Dennis, MA.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Our Lady of the Cape Church in Brewster, MA.
