

Francis was born in Ware, MA. He was the son of the late Francis D. Campion, Sr. and Mary Gertrude (Hartnett) Campion. Francis attended Framingham Schools, where he served as student council president for the High School class of 1943 and received Highest Honors for Outstanding Leadership and Service.
He is a veteran of WWII, serving in the Fighting 69th Infantry Division. Upon returning from combat in Germany he attended Boston University, earning a degree in Business Administration in 1949. He later completed graduate work in economics at Siena College.
Francis began working at GE in Pittsfield, MA and Schenectady, NY. He spent most of his career working in sales management for Emerson & Cuming, which became a division of WR Grace.
Francis and Hilda made homes in King of Prussia, PA, Glenview, IL and Franklin, East Dennis and finally West Yarmouth, MA. While living in Dennis, Francis attended Our Lady of the Cape Church and was a member of the Men's Club.
Mr. Campion is survived by his brother, Robert C. Campion of Brewster, his sister-in-law, Barbara A. Campion of Yarmouth Port and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a sister, Joyce O'Sullivan and a brother, James E. Campion.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, November 19 from 5 to 7 pm at Doane, Beal & Ames, 729 Rt 134, South Dennis, MA.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 am at Our Lady of the Cape Church, 468 Stony Brook Rd, Brewster, MA.
Burial will be at the National Cemetery in Bourne.
