Francis X. Holland

Fran dedicated his career to public service as an Assistant Clerk Magistrate of Dorchester District Court for over 40 years. He also proudly served in the Naval Reserves for 39 years. His naval career took him across the globe, where he collected countless stories that he loved to share with family and friends.

An avid reader, stamp collector, and sports enthusiast, Fran’s greatest joy was being “Gramps.” He always put family first, instilling that devotion in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Fran is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Sheila; sons Francis L, Tim and his wife Carol, and Paul and his wife Kelly; grandchildren Timothy Joseph, Ashly, Jake, Sara, Julianne, Michael, Meghan, Christopher, Sarah, and Angela; and great-grandchildren Carter, Chase, and Eveline.

He will be remembered for his wisdom, humor, and unwavering love of family—a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Visiting hours will be held at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, located at 729 MA-134, South Dennis, MA 02660, on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of the Cape, 468 Stony Brook Rd, Brewster, MA 02631, on Monday, November 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM.

Burial with Military Honors will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Route 134, South Dennis, MA 02660, immediately following the mass.
