He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Cravenho-Little, with whom he spent 34 years; his son of 16 years, Frederick Parker Little, III; and his siblings: Mark Little of North Carolina, Wendy Aaltonen of Hyannis, Heidi Littlefield of Maine, and Andrew Little of Cotuit. He was predeceased by his father Frederick P. Little, Sr. He also leaves behind his mother, Bonnie Beebe of Hobe Sound, Florida along with many nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School in 1975, and in 1976, he acquired his insurance appraiser’s license. He then went to work as an auto body mechanic at Preston’s Auto Body in Dennisport where he spent 13 years. He later worked for Crowell Lawrence Ready Mix in South Dennis as a heavy equipment operator and as an insurance appraiser for Hanover Insurance Company in Braintree as well as Baystate Appraisal in Hyannis. In addition, he worked with his wife at Cape Cod Shoe Market in Dennisport.
He was a man of many passions. Being a lifelong Cape Cod resident, Rick loved the ocean and the beach especially Crowes Pasture. In addition, he greatly enjoyed boating in the summers. He was an avid sports fan having been quite the athlete himself. Of all teams, the Patriots were his favorite, as he was a season ticket holder for close to 30 years. Above all, however; his greatest passion was spending time with his wife and son.
He was a funny and easy going man who enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He always thought of others first, and would go out of his way to help anyone who needed it. Even in the toughest times during his battle with cancer, he was always more concerned with the needs of those around him. He will be remembered as a strong and resilient man, but most of all as a loving and caring husband, father and friend to his family and all those that he met along the way.
