Geraldine C. "Geri" Ewing, 40, died unexpectedly on February 25, 2011. She lived her entire life in the Town of Dennis. In 1992 she married her soul mate and high school sweetheart Doug who survives her.
She worked for 15 years at the Scargo Café before returning to school to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse and was working at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Center in Sandwich at the time of her passing. She realized this dream following the birth of her two sons with the loving support of her husband. Although this accomplishment was one of the great achievements of her life, Geri loved and treasured nothing more than her children and was considered to be the glue that held the family together.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother Frances Kelliher of South Dennis, her sons, Benjamin and Nathan, a brother, Michael and wife Kimberly of Kingston. She was also the daughter of the late Richard Kelliher.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Cape Church, 468 Stony Brook Rd. Brewster.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations of time assisting her children with their adjustment to life without their mother. Alternatively, The "Geraldine Ewing Children's Memorial Fund" savings account has also been established at the Cape Cod Cooperative bank.
