“Jacquie” was born on July 16, 1934, to Dorothy Claire Lynch and Earl Vincent Schriever in Boston, Massachusetts. She peacefully passed away on February 2, 2025. She was raised by her beloved grandparents, Marguerite Agatha “Ma” (Brown) Lynch and John Hackett “Dad” Lynch. She maintained a lifelong sustaining relationship with her maternal aunt, Marguerite Dolores “Babe” Lynch Schoder. Jacquie was raised in Dorchester, Massachusetts and attended Saint Matthew’s School, Girls Latin, and The Academy of the Assumption. Upon graduation at sixteen years of age, she enrolled in Chandler’s School for Women.
Throughout high school and college, she dated Joseph Michael Cooper and married him in 1955. This Catholic marriage produced four children, Janice Ann Beschle (Andrew), Joseph Michael Cooper, Jr., Particia Ann Ross, and Peter Michael Cooper (Alicia). “Grammy” was blessed with nine grandchildren, Erin Cooper Singer (Thomas), Morgan Patricia Beschle (Griffin Jones), Leigh Taub Cooper, Neil Richard Beschle, Emily Louise Ross Weyrick (Stephen), Kyle Joseph Ross, Matthew Patrick Cooper, Dean Joseph Cooper (Madeline), and Shane O’Hanlon Cooper. Further, “Gg” was blessed with great grandchildren, Booker Jones, Sage Jones, Wren Jones, Louis Weyrick, Sophia Singer, and Gene Weyrick.
Throughout her life, Jacquie was guided by her deep and abiding faith. While her husband’s motto was “Keep the Faith” – hers was “Put it to Prayer.” Theirs was a faith-based marriage with countless acts of service to the community – With service in Auburn, Massachusetts where they raised their family, in Houston, Texas, and on Cape Cod.
Jacquie’s children believe that our mother lived her life for this moment – to enter the Kingdom of Heaven for Everlasting Life. Jacquie always told us that her grandmother would meet her at the Pearly Gates and wrap her in her arms. And this comforts us.
