Kathleen Adele Duffy

She leaves her loving husband of 60 years, Donald of West Yarmouth and her beloved children, Sean and his wife Betsy of Waitsfield, VT; Timothy and his wife Stephanie of South Yarmouth, MA; Ellen Bernier and her husband Michael of Scituate, MA; and Don and his wife Rachael of South Portland, ME. She was predeceased by her infant son, William, and her sister Nancy (Moore) Shannon of CT. She leaves her beloved grandchildren who she referred to as “the frosting on the cake”. Danny and his wife Sarah of Avon, CT; Drew of Denver, CO; Anna of Waitsfield, VT; Jack, Katherine and Billy of Scituate, MA; and Julia, Colin and Maeve of South Portland, ME. She also leaves her beloved great grandson, Peter “Petey” of Avon, CT. Kathleen is also survived by her brother William Moore of Middleboro, MA. She leaves many nieces and nephews.

Kathleen was a graduate of Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree and Aquinas Junior College in Milton. Kathleen was a woman of strong Catholic faith. Kathleen and Don lived in Woburn, MA and Colts Neck, NJ, before settling in Medfield, MA where they raised their family. In 1999 they moved to their summer home in West Dennis on Cape Cod.

Kathleen enjoyed reading, golf, the beach but more than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family. She went to just about all of her children’s sporting and school activities and continued on with her 9 grandchildren to watch many performances, ski races, basketball, soccer, baseball and football games.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 5th from 9:00 -10:30 AM at the Doane Beal and Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134, South Dennis, MA. Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM at St. Pius X Church, 5 Barbara St., South Yarmouth. Burial will take place in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Rt. 134, South Dennis.
