Natalie enjoyed the outdoors, horseback riding, and walking her dogs in the woods. She loved many animals in her lifetime. She was an avid reader and participated in several volunteer activities.

She leaves a brother, Paul Long Jr., and his wife, Lorraine, of Brockton; and a sister-in-law, Ann C. Long, of North Attleboro. She also leaves two nieces, Carol Sanderlin, her husband, Brant, and their two daughters, Julie A. and Emily K., of Georgia; Susan Ried, her husband, Tom, and their two daughters, Kaitlan and Maggie, of California; nephew, Steven Long, and his daughter, Maura Claire, of N. Attleboro, MA. Natalie also leaves her husband’s niece, Margaret Routhier, and her husband, Raymond Bergeron, of Plymouth.

Wife of the late John W. Mahar, daughter of the late Paul E. and Carolyn Long, and the stepdaughter of the late Helen Long. Natalie was also predeceased by her younger brother, Raymond Long.

A note of thanks and deep appreciation for all the help and assistance Natalie received from many friends, family, and strangers during her endeavor to live independently. By her account, she had a rich and fulfilling life.

At Natalie’s request, there will be no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
