

Richard Warren "Dick" Norton, 87, of Dennis, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. He was born in Boston, MA to the late Edward Robert and Freda (Burrman) Norton. Richard grew up in Quincy and was a graduate of North Quincy High School. After graduation he attended Northeastern University receiving a degree in Business Administration. Dick and his loving wife Loretta raised their family in Sharon, MA where they lived for 36 years before moving to Dennis 22 years ago.
Dick was a systems analyst, retiring from the Foxboro Company in 1985, and was an instructor at Northeastern University for 30 years.
Dick loved to travel. He enjoyed the outdoors, golfing and playing on the Cape Cod Senior softball league. He was an avid Boston sports fan. But above all else Dick adored spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Loretta (Huether) Norton; his adored children Richard E. Norton, Douglas R. Norton (and wife Janet), Carol Magoon (and husband Shawn), Deborah Carpenter; his cherished grandchildren Emily, Sean, Christie, Ethan, Julie and James. He is predeceased by his dear brother Edward Robert Norton (1944).
Friends and Relatives are respectfully invited to attend visitation Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home 729 Route 134 S. Dennis, MA 02660 from 12:30-1:30pm immediately followed by a 1:30pm Funeral Service.
