Robert E. McCormick

Born in Nashville, TN in 1924, son of James Arthur and Flora Mae McCormick, he graduated from Mortimer Jordan High School in 1942 and eventually became a Quartermaster, First Class in the United States Navy. He went on to become an Injection Molds Machinist and later a school bus driver.

He was the husband of the late Marion Elizabeth (Charland) McCormick and the brother of the late Kenneth McCormick and Opal Villadsen of Birmingham Alabama. He is survived by his sister, Faye McRae of Thorsby, Alabama. He leaves behind three sons, Robert Jr, of Worcester, MA and Kenneth and Michael of West Yarmouth, MA and two daughters, Judith Massessa and Diane McCormick of Woodbridge, VA. He was also the grandfather of the late Jeffrey McCormick and survived by Jennifer and Patrick McCormick of MA, Jenifer Couture of VA, Robert III, Sean and Matthew of MA, Ashley, Marissa and Kenneth of Mass.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services on Friday, November 18 at noon at the Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home at 729 Rt. 134, South Dennis, MA. Burial will be at the Bourne National Cemetery at 2:30pm.
