

Robert James Noble, 80, of South Dennis, MA died on Friday, April 14, 2017 with his loving family by his side. Bob was born in Indianapolis, IN to the late Winston E. Noble and Kathryn A. Reagan. He graduated from Summit, NJ High School, earned a BA Degree from Syracuse University and went on to participate in management programs at Harvard University and Fitchburg State University. Bob worked as a teacher and several insurance claim departments in New England and Florida, retiring in 1999. Bob and his wife Louise retired to New Hampshire and then to South Dennis on Cape Cod in 2014.
Bob could trace his ancestors back to the Revolutionary War, Civil War and World War II. It was through his membership in The Chelmsford Colonial Minutemen that he was co-chairman of the 1975 Chelmsford Bicentennial Committee which brought together dignitaries from Chelmsford, England and Chelmsford Ontario, Canada.
Bob enjoyed time with his family and cherished his wife of over 40 years. He especially enjoyed spending time with his five grandchildren and great-grandchild. Bob is survived by his wife Louise, step-son Peter Hooper and wife Debora of Kingston, MA and daughter Robin and her husband Michael Decteau of Harwich, MA.
A gathering of friends and family will take place on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 1-1:30pm at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Route 134, S. Dennis, MA 02660 immediately followed by a 1:30 pm Memorial Service celebrating Bob's life.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bob's honor to the Friends of Gettysburg Foundation, 1195 Baltimore Pike, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
