

Her husband of 20 years, Dr. Charles V. Manganelli died in 1996. She leaves her nieces Virginia Potvin of Yarmouthport, Theresa Jonson of Apex, NC and Mary Gallimore of Pawley Island, SC, Glenn Shell of Elizabeth, PA and Nancy Shell of Dudley, MA; her 6 step-children Charles Manganelli of Worcester, MA, Paul Manganelli of Standish, ME, John Manganelli and his wife Nora of Rosewell, GA, Paula and Marie Manganelli of Washington, D.C., and Louise and her husband Peter Ornstein of California. She also leaves step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers Frank, Walter, Stanley, John and Henry; her sisters Helen Penski and Anne Poston and her nephews Stephen Klisiewicz and Robert J. Potvin.
Virginia was born in Douglas, MA, daughter of Thomas and Aniela (Charaszcz) Klisiewicz. She graduated from Douglas Memorial High School (valedictorian) and Becker College.
She worked as an executive secretary for Whiten Machine Work. Virginia also worked in the Financial Aid Department at Harvard University, at Worcester Academy and for the Town of Brewster.
She was a devote Catholic and member of Our Lady of the Cape.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Our Lady of the Cape, 68 Stony Brook Rd., Brewster, MA 02631. Private burial will be held at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Whitinsville, MA where Virginia will be laid to rest with her husband Charles.
