

Carlos was born on July 24, 1928, to Carlos Orozco Munguia and Maria Dolores Blancas in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. He and his family moved to Ensenada at the age of 13. At the age of 23 years old, he met his wife Everarda Martin in Ensenada, and two years later they married and came to the United States to build a better life. There Carlos and Everarda had six children.
He is survived by his beloved wife Everarda of 69 years, daughters Anna Dolores Rodriguez and Carolina Lemucchi (John); sons Carlos Orozco (Liz), Arthur Orozco (Lucy), Albert Orozco (Jeanette), and Oscar Orozco (Michelle). His grandchildren Marc Rodriguez (Yvette) and Eddie Rodriguez, Jennie Orozco (Luis), Rachelle Orozco and Marissa Orozco (Scott), Travis Orozco (Amanda), Kay and Kaitlyn Orozco; Johnny Lemucchi Jr., Brandon Lemucchi (Jackie), and David Lemucchi; Camille Orozco and Adam Orozco, Lauren Orozco and Savannah Orozco. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Anthony, Christian, Bradley, and Kaitlyn Rodriguez; Jalyssa, Jayden, Jazzlyn, and Jayla Ramirez; and Norma Lemucchi.
Carlos is proceeded in death by his parents and four of five siblings. He is also survived by his younger sister Maria Socorro (Coyo) from Ensenada, Baja California. She is 94 years old.
He attended Jordan High School and Cerritos College, obtaining a degree in Architecture. He retired at the age of 65 from Ivy Hill Lithograph. After retiring he and Everarda traveled often to various places, including Hawaii, Rome and Jamaica. They also spent time at their home in Ensenada, where their family and friends often visited.
He worked various jobs, including concessions at Dodgers Stadium and lawn maintenance. At times he worked 3 jobs to provide his family with the best education possible. As a family, they traveled to various places such as Mexico City and Guadalajara and went camping to Yosemite and Sequoia.
Carlos was a two-time cancer survivor. He actively participated in the Relay for Life walks either by walking with the walker or being pushed in the wheelchair. He was always strong during his treatment and never gave up. He never showed his family that he was in pain or suffering even until the very end.
He and Everarda purchased their first home in Norwalk and raised their children there. They purchased their second home in South Gate where they have lived for the past 47 years. He looked forward to spending Sundays with his family, watching the Dodgers, football games and boxing. He was very creative in his youth he taught himself piano, he enjoyed drawing and painting, as well as building wooden crafts for family, especially carving Goofy in the tree stump outside their home.
He was not a man of many words, but his heart was enormous. His legacy extends across generations. He is deeply admired and will be greatly missed by all.
A visitation for Carlos will be held Monday, February 26th, 2024 from 5:00pm to 10:00pm at Funeraria del Angel South Gate, 8665 California Ave, South Gate, CA 90280.
The rosary will start at 7:00pm.
The following day, Tuesday, February 27th, 2024, there will be a mass at 10am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 10727 Downey Ave, Downey, CA 90241 .
Finishing the mass, Mr. Orozco's final resting place will be taken place at Calvary Cemetery, 4201 Whittier Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90023.
