Dr. Charles E. Theisen

Theisen, Dr. Charles E. Entered eternal life Sept 11, 2010 at the age of 82. Preceded in death in 1991 by his daughter Ann. Beloved husband for 56 years of Carol (nee Keup). Loving father of Mark, Meggie, Daniel (Liz), Jane Hanson, Paul, Mary, and Gretchen. Grandfather of Corey, Andrea (Mike) Davenport, Lauren, Christopher Theisen; Elise, Ben Hanson; and Yma Hernandez-Theisen. Great-grandfather of Xavier. Preceded in death by siblings: Leo (Eleanor), William, Eleanor, Raymond, Florence (James) Ward, Mary (Fritz) Helms, Abbott Primate Jerome O.S.B., and Barbara Betts. Further survived by sister Betty (Jerome) Johnson and in-laws Ethelyn, Dorothy, Homer Betts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday September 16, at 1 PM at Divine Mercy 13th Av. Catholic Church, 1304 Manitoba Av., South Milwaukee. Rev. Robert Betz celebrant. Interment Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, at the Church, from 11 AM until time of Mass.

Dr. Theisen was born in Loyal, WI, and served in the Medical Corps in the US Army from 1946-47. He graduated from Marquette University School of Medicine in 1954, and was a certified member of the American Board of Family Practice. Dr. Theisen practiced medicine for nearly 40 years. He served as Chief of Staff at Trinity Memorial Hospital of Cudahy, WI in the 1970's. He enjoyed running in AL's Run for many years, singing in the church choir, reading, writing poetry, and listening to classical music. Memorials to the charity of your choice is deeply appreciated.
