Went to be with the Lord April 4, 2012. He will be missed everyday by his loving wife, best friend and soul mate Tonya Newberry (nee Farrington), his children Bobby Dean Newberry, Lisa (Keith) Krivens-Cook, Joel (Terri) Newberry, Robert (Kim) Santos, Tanya (Kris) Marks, Melissa (Anthony) Garcia, Daniel (Stephanie) Newberry and William Newberry, his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be remembered everyday by many more relatives and friends. He has been reunited with his parents Ida (nee Chick) and Frank Newberry, daughter Tammy Newberry, mother-in-law Beatrice Gartmann, father-in-laws Leo Farrington and Robert Gartmann and his precious granddaughter Taylor Jane.
Bob was a loving, devoted husband who would do anything to keep a smile on Tonya’s face. Together they raised a beautiful, growing family and gave 23 children the gift of a loving family through foster care. His own children will always remember him for the lessons he taught them; Hard work is the key to getting what you want out of life, face your fears, respect is earned, family is first, love is forgiving and most importantly, a father’s love is undying. He was the kind of man you could go to with any problem and he had a way to solve it. His advice and wisdom will be greatly missed as will his legendary stories about being a young man in Texas and his biscuits and gravy.
Services will be held Tuesday, April 10 at 6pm following a time of gathering from 4-6pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
We love you more than words can express and we will miss you every day. You are our rock, our mentor, our husband, father and friend.
~All our love~
