John Richard Keating

John Richard Keating died on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at his residence. He was 61 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the beloved son of the late John T. and Florence Highfield Keating. He was a lifelong Southampton area resident.

Mr. Keating was a retired employee of the Bucks County Water & Sewer Authority and a Navy veteran. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish in Southampton

John was a professional Monster Mini Golf player, an avid league bowler, and a flea market guru. He was a member of many volunteer groups, some named and some anonymous.

John was the devoted father of Peter T. Keating (Susan) of Perkasie, Matthew J. Keating of Southampton, Anna M. Keating of Doylestown, Jason M. Keating of Southampton, and the late John Erikson. He was the beloved significant other of Fern Piazza of Southampton and is also survived by Lynette Keating of Southampton, his sister Florrie Redick of Ponte Vedra, FL, and 5 grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, January 29th from 2 to 4 PM and from 6 to 8 PM and Friday January 30th from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home, Street Road & 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, PA. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. John’s interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem.
