John A. Steele

John Alvie Steele – Born December 20, 1925, passed away on November 29, 2012 after a brief illness. He was 86 years of age. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, he had been a longtime resident of Huntingdon Valley, and was presently residing at Anns Choice.

Jack was a devoted and loving family man, an avid boater and enjoyed travel. He was a retired ARCO executive. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corp in WWII.

Jack was the beloved husband of the late Gloria A. They were married for 56 years. He was the devoted and loving father of Sharon A. ( Richard) Cohen, of Ambler, Deborah L. (Edward) Rooney of Maple Glen, Cynthia C. (Robert) Mills of Huntingdon Valley, and Diane S.(James) Fries of North Wales. Loving grandfather “Pop” of Alexander M.( Cynthia) Cohen, Erin E., Kyle E., and Brianna L. Rooney, Jessica M.(John Hornyak) Mills, Kristin A.(Matthew) Durfee, Cassidy L., Courtney S., and Hunter J. Fries and great grandfather of Kennedy Cohen, Madison, Finn, and Oliver Hornyak. Brother of the late Robert O. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday 12/2 from 5 to 7pm at the Wm. Rowen Grant FH, Street Rd and 2nd St. Pike, Southampton. And Monday 12/3 from 10am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 am. His interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
