
Josef Hartmann died on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Abington Hospital – Jefferson Health. He was 83 years of age. Born in Kikinda, Yugoslavia, he was the son of the late Georg and Rosalia Hartmann, and brother to Karl and Walter. Josef was a longtime resident of Warminster.
Josef was the beloved husband of Anna Krachtus Hartmann for 56 years. He was the devoted father of Monica Simon (Phil) of Roslyn, Lisa Fricker (Werner Jr.) of Horsham and Joseph Hartmann (Susan) of Philadelphia. He was the loving grandfather of Werner III, Michael and Karina Fricker and Anneliese, Zachary and Jesse Simon.
Mr. Hartmann was an Army veteran. He was a retired machinist. Josef had been a longtime employee of American Envelope in Philadelphia.
Josef was an active member of the United German Hungarian Club and long-time member of the Heimatklänge Orchestra where he played saxophone, tuba and tenor horn.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 10:30 to 12:00 PM at the Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home, Street RD & Second Street Pike, Southampton. His memorial service will follow at noon.
