

On August 2nd, 2013, Mildred, mother, mom-mom, mother-in-law, sister and aunt, departed this world to be with her Lord and savior.
Mildred Virginia Gooch (Deyhle) was born August 22, 1920 in Philadelphia, PA. She was the second of 7 children born to Jonathan Kershaw Deyhle and Kathleen Virginia Garrett. She grew up in Kensington, and attended Kensington High School. Millie worked at SKF as a ball-bearing inspector from 1939-1953. She was a member of the Cumberland Street Methodist Church, where she met her husband of 53 years, Francis (Frank) Charles Gooch. The happiest day of her life was the day she and Frank adopted their only child, William (Bill) Charles Gooch. Being a mother was her proudest achievement. In 1962, the family moved to Southampton, PA. For her love of children, her second career as a babysitter for many wonderful families began. She was an active member of Huntingdon Valley Methodist Church for 40 years, a great joy of hers was singing in the choir. Millie spent 50 glorious summers at Beach Haven Crest on Long Beach Island, New Jersey, with so many lifelong friends and neighbors. After losing her husband, she moved to California in 1999 to be close to her son and grandchildren. Where she enjoyed her 2nd proudest achievement as Mom-mom. She lived in Laguna Woods, Camarillo and Thousand Oaks in California.
Preceeded in death by her husband Frank Gooch, parents Kathleen and Jonathan Deyhle, brother Jonathan Deyhle, jr., sisters, Doris Deyhle, Beatrice Deyhle, Claire Mocknatch and Audrey Black.
She is survived by her son Bill Gooch, daughter-in-law, Melissa Cameron-Gooch, grandchildren, Selena, Graham and Ian Gooch of Newbury Park, CA. Sister, Blanche Ferguson of Clermont, FL Nieces, Isabelle Emmons of Kissimmee, FL, Lorrie Smith ( Ed) of Chestertown, MD, Diane Jackson of Burlington, NJ, Donna Jordan (Frank) of Beverly, NJ, Audrey Cavanaugh (Bob)of Philadelphia, PA, Blanche Sansores of Trevose, PA, Karen Ferguson of Philadelphia, PA, Katie Ferguson Birtell of Philadelphia, PA, and Heather Ferguson of Clermont, FL. Nephews, Alex Mocknatch of Daytona, FL, Bob Ferguson (Barbara) of Langhorne, PA, Jim Ferguson (Terri) of Southampton, PA, and Bill Ferguson of Clermont FL.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 10th, at United Methodist Church of Huntingdon Valley 3470 Huntingdon Pike, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006 (215) 947-7961 with Funeral Services at 11:00 AM and interment to immediately follow at Union Cemetery 209 Almshouse Road, Richboro, PA 18954 (215) 355-1397.
