Patricia (Pat) M. Festa (Whelan), age 67, passed away peacefully at home on February 7, 2021. Patricia suffered too many years with Bipolar Depression and then Parkinson's Dementia until her demise. Pat was strong, brave, and a very kind gentle soul. She did live life to her fullest ability but deserved more from her short life. The mental illnesses dictated her limitations during her last few years of her life.
Pat, originally from Philadelphia, lived in Pottstown, Pa. with her beloved husband, Dominic, and then Southampton, Pa. with her doting daughter, Marie; loving son-in-law, Damion and grandson, David who she loved so dearly. Originally from Olney, born to parents, Thomas Whelan Sr. and Florence Whelan (Heffernan) . Proud graduate from Cardinal Dougherty High School. Pat was well rounded, loved her Snoopy collection, Neil Diamond and enjoyed learning new hobbies (Spanish, painting, violin, etc.). She was an expert with the art of crocheting and generously shared her talent by making many sweaters, gloves, hats and beautiful afghans. She enjoyed new experiences, for example, playing Texas Holdem. She was able to use her poker face and win a local Texas Holdem tournament that placed her in an Amateur Tournament in Las Vegas. Pat was very involved with the Tricounty Active Adult Center when she lived in Pottstown, Pa. When she moved to Southampton, she enjoyed spending time with her partner Bill, who was so loving and caring to her. Pat also enjoyed watching the Phillies, Sixers and especially watching the Eagles win the Super Bowl.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Dominic Festa, Jr., and untimely death of granddaughter Kimberly Marie.
Pat, now our guardian angel, will be sadly missed by her daughter Marie (Damion), her grandson David, son Dominic (Andrea), brother Thomas (Patricia) and sister Carol (Morris). Pat was a loving aunt, great aunt and enjoyed partying with her cousins.
