He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret, to whom he was married for over 47 years, and loving father of Karyn McQuiggan, and the late William S. Major. He will be sadly missed by his granddaughter, Meghan, and by all who knew him.
He worked in the banking industry for both Cheltenham and IVB Bank. He also had his own hearing aid business.
He was an avid golfer, and was a member of the Old York Road Country Club for many years.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service 11 a.m. Monday, July 13, at the Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home, 659 Street Road, Southampton, PA 19006. Friends may call on the family from 10 a.m. until time of service. His interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Research Fund for Cystic Fibrosis, c/o Marianne Ferrin, Perelman Center West Pavilion, 1st floor, Civic Center Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19104.
