

On February 15, 1929, Beverly was born in Boone, IA, to Louis and Anna Sjeklocha. She met William Frank Evans after his army service and college, and they were married on May 12, 1948, in Des Moines, IA. The Evans family moved a number of times, living in Illinois, Michigan, New York and Ohio. Beverly kept busy with family, work, the children’s activities and social events. While living previously in Toledo, OH, before her move to North Carolina, she was an active volunteer at Little Flower Catholic Church and as head of the landscape committee in her condo community. In 2018, Beverly relocated to Southport and enjoyed the milder weather and the views of the Intracoastal Waterway and the Cape Fear Jetport from her condo. She loved her family and enjoyed quilting, flowers, and keeping in touch with her friends.
Beverly is survived by three children: Richard Evans and wife Mollie, Steven Evans and wife Katherine, and Teresa Parent and husband Richard; seven grandchildren: Judy Johnsen, Bradley Parent, Kevin Parent, Timothy Parent, Kelly Marsh, Deborah Billings and Anita Kawaters; fifteen great grandchildren: Ryan Parent, Nicole Parent, Alexander Parent, Catherine Parent, Benjamin Parent, Anne Parent, Hadley Parent, Penelope Parent, Mitchell Marsh, Spencer Marsh, Benjamin Billings, Maxwell Billings, Lucas Kawaters, Emilee Johnsen and Lucas Johnsen.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Evans, her parents and all nine siblings.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on June 11, 2024, at 11 a.m.
