Constance Irene Latzy

She was born to the late Rudolph and Emma Keppen on April 9, 1926, in Vanport, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband George and her sisters Evelyn Wiley and Ruth Crist.

To know Connie was to love her. As her dear friend Inez Kierstead often said, “She was a beautiful person, inside and out.” She had a sweet smile that could light up a room. Her greatest joy was her family and she dedicated her life to taking care of her loved ones.

Connie is survived by her daughters, Victoria (Devone) Edge of Leland, North Carolina and Jennifer (Greg) Entler of Columbus, Ohio. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Crystal (Chris) Stevens and Winter Edge and her three grandsons, Aaron Edge, and Adam and Eric Entler.

The family will receive friends from 4-6pm Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service, Southport.

Special thanks go out to the staff at Carillon Assisted Living in Southport, where she spent the last four years of her life in their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center.
