Chris was born March 14, 1966 to Charles E. Blake, Sr. and the late Mary Katherine Blake. He was a veteran of the US Navy where he served as a Hospital Corpsman. Chris attended Generations Church and had worked at Port Realty. He enjoyed the water and loved sitting at the Southport waterfront. He was preceded in death by his mother, his paternal grandparents; EC and Gertrude Blake and maternal grandparents; John and Audrey Hevener.
Survivors include his father Charles E. Blake, Sr.; a brother Charles E. Blake, Jr and his wife Sherry; aunts and uncles Tom Blake and Betty Robbins, William Blake, Benjamin and Beverly Blake, Dr. Marvin Hevener; Ellen Tishman, Johnnie Johnson and husband Ron Johnson and many cousins.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 in the Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel. Donations in his name can be made to Generations Church.
