Louis Lawson

Louis was born to Mark Lawson, and Elva Lawson, January 10, 1930 in Clarks Grove, Minnesota. He married his first wife, Lois Lawson in 1954 whom he raised his three children with in Colorado. She passed away in 1992. He met and married his second wife, Alice Lawson in 1993, and they lived together in Southport, NC until her death.

Louis worked at IBM until he retired in 1989. He was a member of the United States Army for four years in his early youth. He enjoyed traveling with his children and going to Disney World with his grandchildren. He was an active member at Beach Road Baptist Church and enjoyed his Sunday School class immensely. Mr. Lawson was preceded in death by one grandson, Brady Jay Lawson and one granddaughter, Jessica Nicole McManus.

Louis is survived by 3 children: Robert Lawson, Steven Lawson (Dawnie Lawson), and Julie McManus (Sam McManus). He also is survived by seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Beach Road Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at a reception following the service at the church.
