Mary Small Williams

Mrs Williams passed away peacefully on Friday, December 17, 2021. Mary was born in Charlotte, NC on January, 24, 1927, daughter of James A Small and Charlotte Sweet Small. She had fond childhood memories of growing up in a large family on their dairy farm in the Derita community.

Mary retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company in her sixties and enjoyed spending time at the beach with her family.

Mrs Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Russell C Williams Jr, and sons Stephen and James. Also preceding her were siblings, James Small, Joseph Small, Frances Elliott, and Helen Fenton. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Bob Chrisman and daughter-in-law, Sandy Tucker. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Brandon Williams and Emily Chrisman. Her surviving siblings are Lonnie Small, Ernie Small, Elaine Ritch and their families.

Visitation will be held at McEwen Funeral Home at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Rd in Charlotte on January 8, 2022 at 2pm followed by a graveside service.
