Robert was a great guy. I knew him in Colorado Springs. Then a couple of years later I ran into him in Denver and found out that he had moved there too. I liked his sense of humor. He could always make me laugh.  We remained friends over the years. I think of him with fondness and know that he is in heaven .

Thinking of you today, my friend.  The Earth is a good place, but not as great without you on it.  💙

Bob was a hale fellow well met. Bob was always someone we could talk to at the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and was never judgemental. One memory for me was when Bob met my wife and said "I like Steve I really do, but I have to ask you, was he raised by wolves?" I have never met a better man. God's Speed.

Sorry to hear about Bob's passing. I remember when he first came to JEFFCO and he and I shared an office for a time. Had a lot of good memories along with much laughter. Also have fond memories of working with Donna  when she was a nurse and  her positive interaction with the Detentions Counseling Unit.  My best wishes and prayers are with Donna and all the family.

I’ve known Bob since his early days in Jefferson County.  He was the consummate professional and always willing to help.   I once called his department for help with a large crowd and fight.  He sent 28 patrol cars.  When they showed up, I was shocked.  Bob looked at me and said, “What? You never called for help before.”  Never without an analytical perspective, Bob was one of the most intellectual law enforcement minds I ever knew.  More so, Bob was a good friend.    I trusted his judgement.  So much so, when I was wavering, he talked me into moving to Federal Way to help start something amazing.  Donna and Bob opened their hearts and their home to me.  Donna, I’m so sorry.  My heart is broken.  David, your Dad was a very good man; and that’s reason you can be proud of him.  Bob, “I will miss you, Man.”

I worked with Bob in Corvallis Oregon.  He was thoughtful and had great insight in his leadership role.  I appreciate his dedication to the communities where he worked, and the positive impact of his efforts.  To Bob's family, please accept my condolences.
