Samuel Joseph Greco, “Sam”, joined his heavenly father on August 29, 2021 at the age of 95. He shared 65 beautiful years with his loving wife Phyllis, deceased, who he married shortly after serving in the Navy on the Saratoga during WWII. She was his everything. Sam, a retired supervisor from Morgan Linen in Buffalo, was a loyal Buffalo Bills fan and sports enthusiast. If he wasn’t watching football you could find him watching golf on the weekends. He lived a life full of pride through the successes of his children Marty and Bonnie Greco, Nancy and Kirby Kuklenski, Gregg and Rhonda Greco, and Tracy and Greg Carbone. He is the proud grandfather to Kirby, Nick, Samantha, Gregg, Lance, Nicholas, Colin, and great grandfather to Brady, Gwen, Riley, and Stuart.
Sam was a content man who loved a great Italian meal, sitting around the table with family, and a quiet faith to sustain his happiness. After 89 years, living with family and friends in Buffalo, NY, he moved to NC. He enjoyed music, cruising around town, being with family, daily coffee at Virlie’s telling stories of the Navy, and sharing the family story and his presence during the creation of the Original Buffalo Chicken wings. He touched the hearts of those he met and will be missed by many.
With Covid restrictions, we will be having a small Celebration of Life for our father. To honor his memory take time to salute and care for our Veterans and those who sacrificed for our country.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.peacocknewnamwhite.com for the Greco family.
