Mr. Ross was born May 5, 1936 in Pamlico County the son of the late Kelly and Adelaide Ross. He was a veteran of the US Army.
In 1965, Bill moved to Southport and opened up Ross’s Barber Shop where he cut hair for almost 50 years.
Mr. Ross was preceded in death by two brothers Dewey Ross and Glenn Ross.
Surviving is his wife Cheryl Ross of the home, two daughters Tina Ross and Lori Dobbs of Wilmington; a step-son Jessie Lindsey of Bolivia; a step-daughter Lisa Patton of Boiling Spring Lakes; three sisters Velma Murdock, Nola Boyd, and Irma Caroon; and two grandchildren, Timothy Chase Dobbs and Laney Elizabeth Dobbs.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 4, 2015 at Peacock – Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service in Southport.
