Doris Hyams

1932-2023

Doris Hyams passed away peacefully on December 2nd, with her family close by to bid her

farewell. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leonard of (years?) of marriage.

Doris was born on November 25, 1933, in Florida and was the only child of Nathan and Rose Pokorny.

Much of her childhood was spent in Jacksonville, Florida. Doris married Leonard Hyams in 1958 and the couple moved to New Jersey where they began their lives together and raised their family. In later years, the Hyams' relocated to, and remained in South Florida

Doris is now survived by her sons Alan Hyams and his wife Sandra, and Stuart Hyams, Grand Daughter Madelyn, and Grand Dog Charlotte, all of whom attended to her upon her demise. Additionally, Doris has many surviving cousins.

Doris enjoyed playing bingo, painting, and social media. Her long time out of town friends have enjoyed her Facebook posts, and her neighbors still admire a framed landscape she painted in their hallway. She will definitely be missed.

Services will take place at 2:00, Menorah Gardens, and shiva will take place at her home 16400 Golf Club Rd, apt. 205 in Weston.
