

Titus Mahoney Edwards, son of the late Amy (Phinn) and Russell Edwards was born May 3, 1928 in Jamaica, West Indies. He was the youngest of six children and loved using his hands to create and build. This love would lead him to receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from Allied Institute of Technology and pursue a lifelong career as a tool design engineer. Holding positions with United States Steel, and Sherwin Williams Paint Company in Chicago. In 1979 he moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida taking a position at Hollingsworth. In 1988, he and his cherished wife Millie, opened an Assisted Living Facility called Edwards Loving Home Care. Operating for over twenty years.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Millie Edwards, August 21, 1962 and was blessed in that union with a daughter, Valerie Edwards-Calhoun (Anthony Calhoun) of Indianapolis, Indiana and treasured grandchildren: Amber (Evansville, Indiana), Ethan and Blaine Calhoun of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Titus will forever be remembered by his other beloved children: Edwina Edwards of London, England and Rebecca Edwards of Atlanta, Georgia and adored granddaughters: Takara and Danyelle Chapman of Tracy, California.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Titus loved to fish, garden and spend time with his grandchildren sharing poetry and stories. His life was spent creating beautiful things with his hands and his heart. As a result, he was loved by many and often called by those that loved him as Uncle, Son, Bub, or Mr. Eddie. His infectious smile, hearty laughter and positive influence will forever remain in the hearts and lives of all who knew him. He peacefully departed this life on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in the arms of his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his brothers: Charles and (infant) Edwards and sisters: Teresa (Miss Terri) Edwards, and Maude (Miss Mac) McKenzie.
He is survived by his adoring wife of 57 years Millie, his daughters, grandchildren, his sister Fredericka (Aunt Fed) Jackson, Jamaica West Indies, and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews as well as countless other family and friends who were blessed to know him.
Homegoing services will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Menorah Gardens & Funeral Chapels, 21100 West Griffin Rd., Southwest Ranches, Florida at 12:00 noon with Reverend Brian Webb as the presiding Officiant.
