Carleton Chris Johnson, 83, of Morristown, NJ passed away on January 7, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Carleton was born in Sparta, Michigan and lived in Morristown, NJ since 1975. He was vice president of operations for Latendorf Inc., in Kenilworth, in NJ before starting his own company, Johnco Controls, Inc., in Morristown; retiring in 2002. Carleton was an avid Yankee fan and enjoyed; fishing, camping and RVing. He is survived by his beloved wife Doris Mae (Brown) Johnson; father of Steven and his wife Kathy, Randall and his wife Patricia, Sharon Fryer and her husband Tim, and David and his wife Trish; loving grandfather of Kelly, Kristin, Scott, Katelyn, Amanda, Laura, Jennifer, Bethany, Christopher, and Amanda. Carleton was also brother of Loren, Gordon, Carlene, and Marvin and 5 great grandchildren. Friends may call Friday, January 9, 2015 from 2-4, 7-9pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. A funeral service will be held at 10am Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Sparta Cemetery.
