Carolyn M Kalafut

Born in Franklin, NJ, to Peter and Katherine (Straub) Scovern, Carolyn attended Franklin schools and graduated 10th in her high school class. She was employed at Picatinny Arsenal as an Administrative Assistant for 20 years retiring in 1981. She resided in Sparta for 51 years and was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lake RC Church and an devoted homemaker.

Predeceasing her was her beloved husband, Samuel P Kalafut in 1994. Carolyn is survived by two sons; Robert F. Kalafut of Vernon, NJ, and Thomas P. and wife Suzanne Kalafut of Dana Point, Ca. A daughter; Linda C. Bruce and husband Anthony M. of Orchard Park, NY. Three grandchildren; Thomas C. Kalafut, Elizabeth A. Bruce, and Stephen Bruce.
