Charles R. Catlin

Charles R. Catlin, 87, of Andover Township, NJ passed away on December 24, 2013. Charles was born in Maplewood, NJ and lived in Andover for 12 years. He was a 1944 graduate of Columbia High School in Maplewood, served in the Merchant Marines during WWll and graduated from New York University with a Bachelors’ Degree in Business. He began his career as an adjuster at Kemper Insurance in Summit before forming a partnership in Dover, NJ as a licensed insurance and real estate broker at Kohler and Catlin. Charles is predeceased by his beloved wife Doris. He is survived by his daughters: Laura Hiler and her husband Robert of Sparta and Karen Coleman and her husband Steven of Victor, NY. He is also survived by his grandson Sean Coleman; and his beloved dachshunds Oscar and Nathan. Friends may call Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 3-7pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. A funeral service will be held at 2pm Monday at Restland Memorial Park, 77 Deforest Ave., East Hanover, NJ.
