Diana Romano

Mrs. Romano was the daughter of the late Arsenio and Angelica Correa. Born in La Romana in the Dominican Republic, she graduated from Central High School of Puerto Rico and after World War II, moved to NY, where she met her husband Anthony. Mrs Romano worked at the Royal Bank of Canada in NY, NY for several years and was a homemaker for the last 62 years.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Anthony Romano of Sparta, NJ, her son Andrew and his wife Kathleen also of Sparta, NJ, and her grandson Stephen Romano of NY, NY. She also leaves behind her brothers, Nelson Correa, Luis Correa, Fidias Correa, Lionel Correa, along with her sister, Ladis Oleaga and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 27 from 4pm-8pm at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main Street in Sparta. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10am on Friday, May 28 at Our Lady of the Lake R.C. Church, 294 South Sparta Avenue in Sparta with interment to follow at Sparta Cemetery.
