

Frank C. Dwornikoski of Sparta, NJ passed away on January 18, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Frank was born in Duryea, PA and was a resident of Sparta for over 50 years. He was a proud member of the US Navy serving during the Korean War. Frank was a 1959 graduate of the University of Scranton, PA where he played football; and earned his Masters degree in Education from Montclair State College. His 53 year career of teaching and coaching began at Franklin High School and continued in Jefferson Township Schools where he coached football, basketball and track, completing his career as Guidance Director. He often traveled with the music department where his leadership was felt. Frank mentored and coached thousands of students during his career until his retirement in 1996. Upon retirement Frank and Ann Marie were able to travel to many countries to visit historic and religious landmarks including the Great Wall and the beaches of Normandy. He is survived by his beloved wife Ann Marie (nee Malecki) Dwornikoski, loving daughters: Donna Brenner and her husband Adam of Clifton, NJ; Ann Luciuk and her husband Gregory of Vernon, NJ, devoted sons: Frank Dwornikoski and his wife Sherry of Wantage, NJ and John Dwornikoski and his wife Debra of Knowlton, NJ. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren: Sarah, Amanda, Brandon, Samantha, Kourtnie, and Hanna and his sisters: Jean Dwornikoski of Old Forge, PA and Irene Orloski of Westchester, PA. Friends may call Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 2-4, 7-9pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Wednesday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 5635 Berkshire Valley Rd., Oak Ridge, NJ 07438.
